
Across the pond in the UK, the
dinosaur in our food is being uncovered. Working with an emerging program from the
Carbon Trust to develop a label for carbon in products,
Walker Chips, a division of Pepsico, is researching the amount of carbon in a bag of their popular potato chips. While this work is prelminary, it shows the motivation, and business incentive, to track the energy and carbon use in our food.
